Karma Lakelands Golf Resort
My journey in the hospitality industry started with B.Sc. (Hons) in Hotel and Restaurant Management and Tourism Management from Oxford Brookes University (OBU), UK; and ever since, there’s no looking back! The next learning opportunity was my internship at Hotel Radisson Edwardian London Heathrow as a Trainee Event Manager in the year 2002.
In the course of these 15 enriching years, I have juggled with numerous roles, which helped me graduate from handling managerial roles with restaurant franchises to five star hotels. My first place of work was Lodi- The Garden Restaurant, where I worked as a Manager. The next major milestone was Hotel Ambassador Transit Singapore Changi Airport T3 as Manager (F&B). I also got the opportunity to be associated with numerous prestigious organizations such as Kwality Group, Country Inn & Suites by Carlson Group and Golden Tulip hotels as their General Manager.
Since January, 2016, I have been working at Karma Lakelands Golf Resort, as the General Manager of their core team. Karma Lakelands is a 300 acres Golf resort specializing in an award winning 9-hole boutique Golf Course designed by Phil Ryan, Klub, Luxury Villas and Rooms for short stays.
I have been actively participating in the shaping up of the resort since its nascent stages. Spearheading a team of 90+ staff members, I oversee a number of operations like managing the company’s GOP, budgeting optimization of sales and suggesting marketing concepts. I have also been working in tandem with all the stakeholders towards creating business partnerships and retaining key accounts for business growth. My profile also involves coordinating with the Executive Chef on menu engineering, cost analysis and food presentations for different segments of the F&B team. It entails a consistent monitoring of performance against the gauge of plans to ensure optimal ROIs.
